This Risk and Claims Administrator position will provide critical support to the Risk Management Department by facilitating insurance requests, assisting with the annual insurance renewal process and managing certificates of insurance. Also responsible for the day-to-day administration of the claims program.
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Responsible for the implementation, delivery, and day-to-day ownership of the Company's physical security standards and programs for administrative, distribution, transmission, production and storage locations. You will provide the strategic direction for physical security operational standards and work closely with the operations team members as it relates to protecting employees and assets, investigations of loss, incident or breach, and development of security systems and technologies. PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Manages and directs all field operational activities for Pipeline Operations to include the Transmission and Distribution and Pressure & Corrosion Control departments, and schedules, directs, controls and/or coordinates personally or through front-line supervision, Oahu-wide activities relating to gas transmission, supply and distribution from source to end-user consistent with business objectives and/or with customer requirements. Responsible for meeting all company-defined compliance requirements impacting this activity. Subject to 24-hour call-out.

The Sr. Director, Clean Energy and Innovation is responsible for execution of the strategic direction with regards to our clean energy and innovation initiatives. The Company is undergoing a long-term supply transformation, which will shape the future of the business. This role is critical to achieving a clean, renewable, low-to-negative carbon, affordable and reliable energy portfolio for the Company in alignment with the state’s climate and resiliency goals. This role:
- Drives the strategic long-term supply planning process by proactively identifying key strategies and initiatives that support Hawai’i Gas’ business growth, supply diversification and resiliency requirements;
- Actively participates and meaningfully contributes in relevant company regulatory dockets to drive outcomes supportive of supply plans;
- Evaluates, analyzes, and models outcomes (including sensitivity analysis) for strategic opportunities and initiatives;
- Ensures that the processes, procedures, and direction of all future activities/initiatives are consistent with business objectives, employee safety standards, and compliance and regulatory requirements and efforts to meet or exceed customer expectations;
- Develops and maintains key relationships with state energy policy bodies, and other relevant stakeholder groups;
- Provides leadership,focus, and team spirit to advance the company’s vision and mission;

- Leads development, execution and evaluation of energy supply RFPs to explore and prioritize opportunities;
- Evaluates new renewable energy sources for our overall platform, including solar, wind, hydrogen and other clean/renewable supply sources.
The Sr. Project Manager, Renewable Energy is responsible for managing, planning, scheduling, directing and/or otherwise coordinating designated project(s) from concept to completed construction and commissioning related to the Company’s clean energy and innovation initiatives. The Company is undergoing a long-term clean energy supply transformation that will shape the future of the business. This role is critical to achieving the Company’s primary goal of providing a clean, reliable, and resilient energy portfolio that will serve as a platform to expand our presence in the State’s energy environment by providing lower cost, lower emission, highly resilient gaseous energy to customers.
This role will:
- Develop, define and execute project scope, goals and deliverables. Establish detailed timeline and comprehensive budget for each project.
- Develop the project presentation material including detailed expenses and business case.
- Develop the project regulatory and operation strategies and plans in coordination with other functions within the company (inclusive of operation and regulatory).
- Develop and execute the project/asset commissioning plan in coordination with operation.
- Ensure alignment of opportunities/project(s) with company strategies. Support project decisions needed.
- Perform as “liaison” with rest of operation for all matters related to renewable energy, sustainability and associated programs.
- Evaluate, analyze, and mitigate project risks from front end to asset handover. Lead and direct front ed and project execution activities. Integrate, manage, coordinate and prepare deliverables required for the Company to make a final investment decision, construction, operation and permitting until asset handover.
- Plan, coordinate and manage activities of assigned projects in agreement with project management procedures, processes and systems. Serves as key project planning resource for projects within the company in addition to operation focal point.
- Lead development, execution and management of project(s) schedule and support director with scheduling needs. Provide expert support with planning, logistics, operation and logistical plans of key projects.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with (1) key actors within gas and clean energy industry; (2) external key stakeholders. Establish and maintain strong relationships within the leadership team to drive the overall strategic plan. Develop and maintain durable relationships with project teams (both development and operations). Prepare and present regular internal and external project reports for management on progress as well as problems and solutions. Communicate project outcome to the review board and support director with communication to executive approval. Evaluate and assess result of project.
The Director, Project and Business Development leads the development of renewable energy projects. Plans, coordinates, and manages large-scale capital projects state-wide from new business opportunity estimating stage to commercial and project completion relating to strategic initiatives and supply. Ensures quality and efficiency of project delivery by providing technical and business feedback, analysis, and support on all respective capital project assignments. Provides technical/laboratory assistance as it relates to renewable energy technology and research as needed as well as commercial support.
The manager, innovation develops projects and partnerships related to research and development on renewable energy innovation. Innovation includes but is not limited to hydrogen, carbon capture, GHG emissions, methanation, separation, and new technologies. Plans, develops, and manages innovation capital projects state-wide from estimating stage to completion relating to clean energy and innovation strategic initiatives. Plans, develops, and manages current and future partnership agreements related to innovation technologies. Provides technical and business feedback on these projects and initiatives and ensures coordination with rest of company for the integration of renewable energy innovation technology and research.
