Required Education and/or Work Experience:
- High school graduate with technical schooling in related discipline such as electronics or equivalent technical experience.
- Completed course (high school or above) with satisfactory grade in physics, fluid dynamics, or thermodynamics.
- Completed all required Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal/State, OSHA Federal/State and NFPA courses or programs. Must maintain at least minimum passing scores per regulations, for all recurring Federal/State and NFPA courses or programs.
- At least nine years successful and progressive experience five years of which must have been in the Meter Shop repairing, servicing, testing, proving, and calibrating all types of gas measurement and regulation equipment and appurtenances.
- Ability to plan, layout and direct the work of others.
- Possesses a very good working knowledge of all codes, regulations, standards, and safety rules/regulation/practices of the regulatory agencies/trade/Company in addition to specialized knowledge of the design, construction, assembly, adjustment, maintenance and repair of meters and regulator, both vapor and liquid.
- Proficient in the proper use of the tools, materials, and equipment of the trade and have a good safety record.
- Ability to use computer and software programs such as Microsoft, Excel and Word
Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation:
- Must possess a valid Type 3 Driver's License.
