Required Education and/or Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering
- 7+ years successful in-field experience in the liquid or gas pipeline industry with good working knowledge of operational assets and general business philosophies and practices.
- 5+ years of project manager experience.
- Good working knowledge of CFR 49, Part 191 and 192, NFPA 54 and 58, gas sections of county plumbing codes, OSHA, and Company emergency response procedures.
- Good working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and County regulations and Company policies and procedures impacting this activity.
- In-depth knowledge of the Transmission line IMP, Distribution IMP and Public Awareness Program.
- Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS Project.
Preferred Education and/or Work Experience:
- Professional Engineer (PE) certificate helpful.
- Working experience in a Union environment desired.
- 5+ years supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of county permitting processes and requirements, the National Electric Code, PUC rules and tariffs, customer information systems, service orders, and accounting systems is preferred.

- Valid Hawaii Driver's license.
- May be required to obtain and maintain certifications for access to controlled facilities.
